When I was a kid...

I used to~

1. Eat 10 boxes of Pretzels...all at once and collect the boxes for no reason, I ended up keeping trashes :) Mom got mad!

2. Do sign of the cross in every church that we passed by, believe it or not, that's my favorite pass time inside the car (aside from counting "big fans" along the way) and I'd hated anyone who wouldn't respect the church.

3. Hold my sister's hand when sleeping. It makes me feel safe and more comfortable, cause little me was afraid of ghosts, lightning, monsters etc. I just hold her hand and nothing would beat that! This was my line back then "Ate...kamay."

4. Pet chickens! I mean the little ones :) I love them (I dunno) I grew up seeing them in the backyard. When my father brought a lot of orphaned eggs that would hatch soon and put them in a box with a light bulb, I took the responsibility! The most precious moment would be seeing them getting out of their shells one-by-one, yes like a mother chicken! After then, I stayed closed with my babies (7 chicks) and they really treated me as their mother! They followed me, jumped on my shoulders, slept at my lap, even watched TV together in the living room haha (the weirdest of them all). However they grew up faster than I thought. The feeling was same with parents-children relationship where you have to let go :( That's the reason why I don't eat chickens that we raised~ Never. In fact I voluntarily give money to buy a Good Cull instead of killing my precious friends. I always cry whenever my dad/tito had to catch and kill them especially during fiesta, in my eyes it's an act of violence.

5. Play with myself. Yes, I love playing alone! With the toys and props that I had I can already make my own childish scenarios ~I deliver lines then shift characters with matching actions and sound effects (tugs,chugs,wacha,haaa,yaa). All by myself!haha you know, kids have very wide imagination :) I enjoyed it! Whenever my playmates were not around I just used my toy figures or dress like a superhero and start my craziness. <3

Late Night Thoughts

After 12 games against Ateneo, since the epic victory in season '69, UST growling Tigers won!

At last! After how many years UST won over the champs! Yup, game 1 palang but for the Thomasian Community it's a complete VICTORY! That was a very crucial game after finishing 70-71 in favor of my school/favorite team...GO USTE! Too bad i didn't watch it live (because I was there last year but we're always defeated by Ateneo) the UST crowd must have gone wild! and this could be the wildest! I'm telling you, from my experience, our crowd is the best with the most amazing chants of  "OH DEPENSA", "ONE FOR UST", "LET'S GO TIGERS BEAT....." and of course "GO USTE!". Also, singing the UST hymn after a victory is epic! It will boost your Thomasian Pride :)

Hell Yeah.I wanna watch this so bad! I need a date for this, girls night out perhaps! Well,I put an effort inviting my girl friends on our facebook group. Everyone seemed so interested as I am except for these two girls. One of them (i must say) is okay not to come cause it's already given since day 1 but the other one..idunno. She replied another movie to watch so I assumed she's not interested and I did understand it. I even saw her comment on our other friend's invite post that the movie doesn't fit her, however, after a few minutes I was really suprised when she commented that she's okay to watch it with our other friend.

I was a bit hurt.

The Man of Laughter

Tuesday night...I was alone in my room watching Walang Hanggan (which I don't normally do) not because  I don't like the show (~everybody knows that it's the most undisputed teleserye today) but because I'm not a TV person anymore. The most usual thing to me now is my laptop :) TV's turned off! I moved back to my old routine which is facebook-twitter-9gag-yahoomail-youtube love affair. As I opened my twitter, one trending topic shocked me....stating #RIPDolphy :(

At the age of twenty, I knew Dolphy as the country's King of Comedy portraying the characters of John Puruntong in John n' Marsha (as told by my parents and I have seen some of its clips) and the most remarkable (as one of the 90's kid) would be Mang Kevin Kosme of Home Along Da Riles ~definitely my most  favorite! I grew up watching the Family of Mang Kevin, Bill, Bob, Bing and Baldo. One thing I've learned in this show is that despite of their poor status in life, they still managed to remain positive and keep their family happy.

As a kid, I also loved Dolphy's movies! The most unforgettable is "Home Sic Home" where Dolphy played Berto, a father who went abroad to visit his son and his family, but his stay was not as easy as it seems, he was challenged by his balae (Panchito) , sutil na apo and a friend (Babalu) who have thought that he's uncle was a multi-billionaire in the US, unfortunately he's a gardener. Dina Bonnevie was also very terrific in the movie. My favorite part would be them singing "Ganito pala ang buhay sa tate...." then "Miss ko na ang balot, bagoong na mabantot...Yes I do, Yes I do!" (i don't really remember the lyrics basta it's all about what they've missed in the Philippines)

FIRST!

Ze meeee!

Who would have thought that I would get myself into this? I've never had one before! This is somehow amusing to me haha :) It's Friday the 13th, I'm just alone at home got nothing to do but stalk people on facebook/twitter, visit 9gag, watch videos and unexpectedly...read blogs! Batugan lifestyle is not forever fun, doing the same routine everyday is kinda tiring and eventually gets boring. No wonder I ended up blogging my shts (Well, I consider it productive - At laaaast!)

"cupcakesonmamind" ~you heard it right but it doesn't mean everything here will be about cupcakes because literally that's the only thing on my mind right now for the title and  just to give my blog a decent name? I think it's quite good. :)
